Now I'm worried on ten different levels. But I'm just going to talk about two.

1) Okay, is it just me, or does this old priest seem like a jerk? I mean, yeah, of course, Æmber's chosen by the Artist, but...why should all this pressure be put on her shoulders? She's 11! She should be playing games and learning how to add double digits, not being trapped in a box and told that she's some sort of Chosen One!

2) Presumably, Xira is talking to a member of his caravan. Which means that it's probably not Iavin, who a) isn't a telepath, and b) doesn't seem to be in a caravan, or c) culturally associated with the Traders at all. But...'leads?' THAT'S not suspicious at all! I hope he's not talking about Æmber. Geez, I don't want to suspect him of anything, but the evidence looks kinda bad.

Of course, silly me. I thought for a second that Xira was contacting someone with sinister intentions!

Xira's contact doesn't *have to* have sinister intentions; just not totally in line with those of Taleth & co. Xira doesn't seem to think there's any inherent conflict, but does agree that he's being sidetracked from whatever he was doing before.
